Bill Russell Was Apparently Rushed To The Hospital Last Night UPDATE: Parade Is Back On!!!!!

(TMZ) - NBA Hall of Famer Bill Russell is in the hospital in Washington state dealing with some apparent heart issues … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us … an ambulance was called to Russell’s home in the Seattle area Friday night, and the 84-year-old Celtics legend was rushed to a nearby hospital.

We’re told Bill was having heart trouble and shortness of breath … and is still hospitalized. We’ve reached out to get an update on his condition.

No. Please no. While there is still obviously a ton of information to come, this is in no way something I want to see not just on a day where the Celtics are playing a huge playoff game, but any day. We last saw Russell during the Sixers series, and obviously the Garden went nuts. I think I speak for every Celtics fan where I just assumed Russell was going to live forever. Not only did he find a way to completely dominate Wilt, but he had also found a way to dominate aging. After he collapsed back in 2014 at a speaking event, once he made it through that I just figured he was immortal. I know 84 isn’t exactly young, but I can’t even begin to imagine life without Russell. This news sucks, no other way to say it.

So please, join me in sending prayers and best wishes to Bill. I hope everything ends up being OK because he deserves to watch this crazy playoff run more than anyone. I’m not ready for the worst case scenario, so here’s to a speedy recovery.

UPDATE: We gucci!!!! Celts by a billion!!!!
